Mental Health Awareness Event In The LA Area

NEW PERSPECTIVES ON BIPOLAR AND DEPRESSION

Printable Flyer

Please join us for this special event to raise awareness and reduce stigma with guest speaker Tom Wootton, author of Bipolar In Order, The Depression Advantage, and The Bipolar Advantage.

Engaging and insightful, Mr. Wootton discusses living an extraordinary life with bipolar and depression. He is an original voice, standing up for a paradigm shift in the way we think about and treat mental conditions.

Wootton says, "The mental health field is plagued with the bigotry of low expectations. Far too many people are talking about 'changing the stigma,' while creating the worst stigma of all: the idea that we are not capable of achieving greatness. It is time to stand up to such negativity by spelling out Results Worth Striving For."

You will also have a chance to meet and ask questions with representatives of community organizations, health care providers, and other local resources to help you succeed.

All events are from 7 - 8:30 pm, free, and open to the public.
